Reno Hot August Nights
Northern Nevada's signature automotive festival celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2026 with 10 days of classic car cruising, more than 6,000 registered vehicles, AMSOIL drag racing at the Nugget, MAG Auctions, nightly concerts, and the Grand Finale Parade. Mark your calendar: the 41st Hot August Nights is scheduled for July 30 through August 8, 2027, across Reno, Sparks, and Virginia City, with the Virginia City opening weekend July 30-31. Car participant registration opened October 6, 2026 on the official website and is capped at 6,000 vehicles (1979 and older), with early-bird pricing at $155 for the first 2,000 registrations. The Spring Fever warm-up returns to Reno May 21-22, 2027. This is the event that defines car culture in the region, and it books out early every summer.

Reno Cars & Coffee
The most consistent car gathering in Northern Nevada, running year-round at the Human Bean on Kietzke. Twice-monthly Sunday morning meetup for all makes and models, plus the annual holiday Toy Run on Sunday, December 6. Remaining 2026 Sundays: October 18, November 1, November 15, December 6 (Toy Run), and December 20. Classics, imports, trucks, and bikes all welcome. Coffee, cars, and conversation every first and third Sunday.
Sparks Cars & Coffee
Bi-monthly meetup on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month. All enthusiasts welcome regardless of what you drive. A relaxed morning with coffee and community in Sparks.
Pizzava Classic Nights
Third Monday of each month car meetup at Pizzava in Sparks. Music, food and drink discounts, and a cash prize giveaway for best ride. Year-round gathering that brings out a great mix of vehicles.
Cool Car Fridays Cruise Night
Free Friday evening cruise night at Heavenly Village from May through October. Open to all cars, trucks, and motorcycles, with gas money drawings and prizes. Remaining 2026 dates are the Fridays through October 30, weather permitting. The perfect way to end the week at Lake Tahoe.
Kim's Kruisers
Weekly Thursday morning car gathering at Kim's Donut Shop in Gardnerville that runs year-round. A beloved Carson Valley tradition: donuts, coffee, and classic cars under the Sierra sky. All makes and models welcome.
Fallon Cars N Coffee
Monthly cars-and-coffee meetup hosted by the Rustoration Garage in Fallon. A welcoming spot for Churchill County gearheads to gather, share stories, and enjoy coffee.
Trucks & Tacos of Northern Nevada
Weekly Tuesday evening meet-up for truck enthusiasts, hosted at rotating restaurant locations around the Reno area. A fun, casual gathering for truck lovers to show off their rides.
Reno Jeeps & Coffee
A laid-back Jeep gathering on the first and third Sunday of each month at the Human Bean on South McCarran. From daily drivers to full overland builds, all Jeeps and their owners are welcome for coffee and conversation.
Summit Racing Sunday Cruise-In
A weekly Sunday cruise-in at the Summit Racing Equipment store in Sparks. Cars line up in the west parking lot for an afternoon of classic and modern metal, parts shopping, and gearhead conversation.
Summit Racing Friday Night Cruise
A weekly Friday evening cruise gathering at Summit Racing in Sparks. A relaxed kickoff to the weekend with cars, conversation, and the unmistakable smell of the parts department.
Baldini's Sunday Swap Meet
A recurring Sunday swap meet at Baldini's Casino in Sparks for car parts, tools, automobilia, collectibles, and general gear. A favorite stop for restorers hunting for that hard-to-find piece, with low-cost vendor spaces each week.
Porsche Reno Cars & Coffee
A curated cars-and-coffee gathering hosted at Porsche Reno on South Virginia Street, organized with the Porsche Club of America Sierra Nevada Region. Euro and performance metal of every era shares the lot with coffee and conversation. Dates vary by month, so check the PCA Sierra Nevada events calendar before you head out.
Reno Bike Community Friday Night Cruise
A weekly Friday evening cruise hosted by the Reno Bike Community, open to bikes, cars, and trucks alike. Riders and drivers gather around 6:30 PM at the Maverik on the corner of Sutro and North McCarran and roll out after 7 PM. The fall season winds down as the weather turns, so check local previews for the final dates of the year.
Gardnerville Cars & Coffee
A Saturday morning cars-and-coffee gathering at Kim's Donut Shop in Gardnerville, running alongside the Thursday morning Kim's Kruisers meet. All makes and models welcome for coffee, donuts, and classic cars under the Sierra sky. A free, relaxed way to start the weekend in the Carson Valley.
Modelo Sunday Cruise In and Kickback
A Sunday evening cruise-in and kickback in midtown Reno, described by local event previews as a great way to unwind and end the weekend. Cars, trucks, and bikes gather for an easy-going evening of conversation and community. Free to attend.
Thursday Night Thunder Bike Night
A weekly motorcycle bike night at Pinocchio's Bar & Grill on South Virginia Street in Reno, running Thursday evenings through October each season. All bikes welcome, with the night benefiting the charity Pinocchio's Moms on the Run and its Ride for the Tatas fundraiser. A friendly gathering for riders of every make and style.
South Tahoe Classic & Old Car Giveaway
The season-ending classic car, truck, and motorcycle show of the year at Heavenly Village, hosted by the South Shore nonprofit Good Sam Safe Ride. Free for both participants and attendees, with trophies, a poker walk, sidewalk sales, gas money drawings, and the popular old car giveaway: a 2002 Ford Thunderbird V8 convertible pulling a fully restored 1958 Crown vintage camping trailer. Giveaway tickets are $10 each. The weekend kicks off Friday evening with a free Cool Car Cruise Night. Open to all cars, trucks, and motorcycles from Friday through Sunday, October 16 - 18, with the Sierra Nevada as the backdrop.
Reno SCCA Solo Autocross: Season Finale
The final two rounds of the 2026 Reno SCCA Solo autocross season, run Saturday and Sunday at the Washoe County Regional Public Safety Training Center on Spectrum Boulevard. Watch local drivers push everything from daily drivers to full race builds through the cones, or register to run your own car. The last chance for autocross action in Northern Nevada until the 2027 season opens in the spring.
Free First Responder Day at the National Automobile Museum
The National Automobile Museum's free First Responder Day honors police, fire, EMS, and medical professionals with complimentary admission and a day among Bill Harrah's legendary collection. A family-friendly museum event for the heroes who serve the Northern Nevada community. Free for first responders and their families; check automuseum.org for details.
Pumpkin Patch and Trunk or Treat
A Halloween-themed family event hosted by the Pharaohs Car Club of Northern Nevada on Saturday, October 24 at 5:00 PM. Pumpkins, decorated trunks, and trick-or-treating for the whole community. Check the Nevada Car Coalition Facebook page for the exact venue and updates.
7th Annual Trunk-or-Treat
The 7th annual Trunk-or-Treat at Cargo Park in Carson City. A Halloween celebration with creatively decorated car trunks, candy, costumes, and community fun for all ages. A Carson City tradition.
Bronco Super Celebration Nevada
The annual Nevada edition of Bronco Driver Magazine's Super Celebration series, rolling into Mills Park in Carson City October 15 - 17, 2026. Hundreds of Broncos from every generation on display daily from 8 AM to 5 PM, plus organized scenic drives to gold-mining towns, ghost towns, and Lake Tahoe for registered owners. A family-friendly fall gathering for the whole Northern Nevada off-road community. Registration is open now through Bronco Driver Magazine.
Nevada Day Classic Car Show
The Nevada Day car show at Carson Mall on South Carson Street is a rolling showcase of classic, custom, and collector vehicles as part of Nevada Day festivities. Live music, craft booths, food vendors, a cornhole challenge, and an indoor Kid Zone alongside the cars. Free to the public on Nevada Day weekend.
Nevada Day Parade, Classic Car Lineup
The state's signature rolling classic-car parade steps off at 10:00 AM down Carson Street from William Street to Stewart Street. More than 200 entries including classic cars, hot rods, and Burning Man art cars, marching bands, floats, and equestrian groups. The 2026 theme is "Pumpkins, Pioneers and Tall Tales."
Neewollah 2026 Trunk-or-Treat
A Halloween trunk-or-treat hosted by The Salvation Army Reno Corps, where decorated car trunks and vehicles gather for family-friendly holiday fun. Costumes, candy, and creatively decorated rides meet for an evening of community celebration. Harrah Reunion at the National Automobile Museum
The annual Harrah Reunion at the National Automobile Museum celebrates Bill Harrah's legendary car collection and the people who helped build it. A day of stories, rare machinery, and history at one of America's premier automotive museums. Listed on the museum's 2026 calendar; confirm exact times on automuseum.org.
Cruisin' the Blues at the National Automobile Museum
Cruisin' the Blues returns to the National Automobile Museum in Reno on Saturday, November 14, 2026, one of the museum's signature fall gatherings. Confirmed on the museum's official event list; check automuseum.org for times and ticket information as the date approaches.
Reno Cars & Coffee Toy Run
Reno Cars & Coffee's annual holiday Toy Run on the first Sunday of December. Gather with the car community at the Human Bean, bring an unwrapped toy, and cruise together to deliver toys for kids in need. The 2026 edition rolls Sunday, December 6, with classics, trucks, and daily drivers all welcome.
Reno Toy Run
The long-running Reno Toy Run toy-collection ride rolls through Reno on Sunday, December 6, 2026, hosted by the Northern Nevada Confederation of Clubs. The police-escorted ride stages at Reno Harley-Davidson on Market Street with kickstands up at noon, collecting unwrapped toys and donations for Northern Nevada families and children's charities. Motorcycles lead the way with classic cars and trucks gathering alongside. Runs rain or shine.
Monster Jam at the Nevada State Fairgrounds
Monster Jam brings its monster truck spectacle to the Nevada State Fairgrounds in Reno in January 2027. Giant trucks, high-flying stunts, and family-friendly motorsport entertainment to kick off the new year. Check Ticketmaster for show times and ticket availability as the date approaches.
Reno Off-Road & Motorsports Expo
The indoor Reno Off-Road & Motorsports Expo at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center showcases off-road rigs, ATVs and UTVs, motorcycles, and power-sports vehicles and gear, running alongside the Reno Outdoor & Adventure Expo and the Reno Boat & RV Show. A winter highlight for anyone who lives for wheels, dirt, and horsepower.
Hot August Nights Spring Fever
The spring warm-up for Hot August Nights, bringing a taste of classic car cruising and show-n-shine action to Reno in May. The perfect preview before the 41st Hot August Nights runs July 30 through August 8, 2027.
Hot Wheels Event at Sparks Library
Sparks Library is recruiting vehicles and vehicle-inspired art for this Hot Wheels celebration in May 2027. A fun, family-friendly community event for car lovers of every age. Contact Andrea Kinney at akinney@washoecounty.gov or 775-352-3200 to get involved.
Big Mama's Show and Shine
The annual Big Mama's Show and Shine at Lampe Park in Gardnerville, a charity car show fundraiser benefiting Douglas County Senior Services and the Young at Heart program. Classic cars, community, and a good cause in the heart of the Carson Valley. The 2027 date is announced each spring by Douglas County Community Services.
41st Hot August Nights
The 41st Hot August Nights runs for 10 days from July 30 through August 8, 2027, across Reno, Sparks, and Virginia City, kicking off with the Virginia City opening weekend July 30-31 and main venues at the Reno Resorts in downtown Reno. Street Heat at Grand Sierra Resort
Street Heat returns to the Grand Sierra Resort for four days of classic car showcases in the resort's south parking lot, free nightly outdoor concerts, a vendor marketplace, and food and beverage experiences. Launched in 2026 as GSR's own classic car and concert festival, the 2027 edition runs Tuesday, August 3 through Saturday, August 7. Vehicle registration for participating cars starts at $55.
Summer Salute 2027 (Date TBA)
Northern Nevada's premier charity car and motorcycle show returns to Rancho San Rafael in 2027, supporting Honor Flight Nevada and the Veterans Guest House. Organizers have said the show will come back on the Saturday before Memorial Day, which falls on May 29, 2027; watch the Nevada Car Coalition for the official announcement. The 2026 edition drew 443 registered vehicles.
K-9s & Classics 2027 (Date TBA)
The family-friendly charity car and motorcycle show benefiting the Douglas County Sheriff's K-9 Unit returns to Lampe Park in Gardnerville in 2027, hosted by the Nevada Car Coalition. The show has run in mid-August in recent years; check the NCC site for the official 2027 date. Classic cars, motorcycles, food vendors, and community spirit in the heart of Carson Valley.
Top Gun Raceway 2027 Season (Schedule TBA)
Northern Nevada's only NHRA-sanctioned drag strip opens its 2027 season in spring, with the Summit ET Series, Junior Dragsters, Sports Compact racing, Test-N-Tune sessions, and the popular Gambler drags running through the fall. The 2027 schedule had not been published as of early October 2026, so check the official Top Gun site and Facebook page for race weekends as they are announced.
